Remove the caste system..............caste based reservation will automatically removed.

I am from ST and I believe that reservation should be based on economic condition and not caste.

Some people will ask why didn't you reject reservation after 12th or at that time when you got scholarship and at that time. (like people ask IAC team why were you only focused at lokpal at that time and now you are going against all parties, may be you have political agenda). I wanted to go in politics but I am not good with that stuff.

So why I am writing this? I just want to understand why everything is going the way its going and by the knowledge I gain if I am able to change someone's thinking in a good (most people's good and no people's bad) way, its better.

Now going back to the topic

WHY RESERVATION (IF USED RIGHT WAY) IS NEEDED AT ANY TIME?

  Eg 1 : There were two families living in a town, one very poor and one very rich. Each family had one son, both were born on same day. Both were very intelligent, even scored same in their 1st exams in govt school. Rich boy transferred to private school but poor didn't due to their family condition. After 12 years rich boy passed 12th with 60% with the help of tutions and may be donations. Poor boy had already left studies when he failed twice in 8th. After 5 years rich joined his fathers business and poor had 4 children in hope that at least one of them would be intelligent. Fast forwarding to next generation the poor children fought  and divided the small land their father had. In rich's case one of the two child got a good job and other handled the business. If we interpolate this there would be huge difference in economies of two families of this simple example (which I made fairly complex to hit your head on wall).

We don't want such differences of economy.(why? it will cause differences hatred and then revolution which comes with all hatred coming upon higher classes). Reservation (if used right way) gives a chance to each generation to compete and grow equally thus controlling the economic differences.

However hard I might try Of-course my views will be biased towards either side but still to reduce that I will quote some people from either side.

The reservation system finds its origin in the age-old caste system of India. The caste system at its birth was meant to divide people on the basis of their occupation like teaching and preaching (Brahmins), kingship and war (Kshatriya) and lastly business(vaish) etc. but soon it became an instrument to divide the society on caste-basis, creating various walls between different sections of the society. Today we stand divided widely into Hindu, Muslim, SC, ST & OBCs with newer reservations coming up for other different sections of the society like Christians, Kashmiris, Jats, Kashmiri Pandits, Tribals etc.

CasteBased Reservation in India Started in 2nd Century BC. In Manusmriti -the law book of Brahmins all the laws were based on Caste and no Merit was ever considered. It divided people into High and Low Castes on the basis of their birth and not on the basis of Merit. Wealth, Political power, Spiritual leadership, Education, Ownership of Land, Trade and all lucrative aspects were reserved purely to the higher castes.

The reservation policy has no doubt played an important role in the advancement of sc/st's. But after almost 60 years of Independence and after becoming self sufficient are the beneficiaries of reservation aware enough or are they enlightened towards their duty towards society or community to which they belong ? Are they paying back to society????

Instead large-scale alienation is taking place and they are slowly drifting away from their community to form their own elite class. They have forgotten that they owe their prosperity to the community in which they were born.

If the economic situation could bring such a large economic gap in two generations, what would be its effect in 2000 years. 

Due to the same reason some people from reserved category believes that it is their right to get reservation in the same way High caste had right to get undocumented reservation for 2000 year and even now.

 Do we need it now on caste basis?

I believe that the decision taken to give reservation on caste basis, 50 years ago was right but the fact that the law did not change in 50 years is serious flaw. If this goes on we are no different then the two cats fighting over bread and monkey in between. Actually the condition is more serious then the cat and monkey example.

  5 Questions to General category? 

(Think even if they are ridiculous)

1. Did the decision taken 50 years ago was to reduce the economic gap or to avenge the last 2000 years? or the decision was simply a political move?

2.why your ministers could not change the law in last 50 years? were they so great that they felt bad removing it or they just wanted vote ?

3. In last 50 years most of the political positions were held by general category citizens, then why are the people who have no power should be blamed for reservation or why they deserve a tiny hatred?

I was debating one of my friends about the same issue. I asked if reservation is not bad why politicians are adding this feature in more field rather then removing it. The answer was vote politics. I accepted it and went to sleep, after 5 mins went out and asked - 

"The popopulation of general category is definitely greater then reserved caste. Then why do politicians only fear of votes from reserved caste and not general?"

The answers was - "As you know most of the voters are either illiterate or from rural areas."

 He gave example colaba in mumbai (very advanced area). it recorded very low no. of votes last time. Educated people do not have time or do not care.

4. In relation to above para.- You announce that reserved category peoples are illiterate or  lives in rural areas or poor, still you say that reservation is not fair to you.

5. If you think that, via reservation a better candidate gets rejected, any category candidate will get better if they get reservation for 2000 years ask any expert. Do you still think that reservation if applied on basis of economy, is unfair to you?


Understanding all above points about unofficial reservation and given that reserved category is getting reservation in same percentage as their population percent.  so if all humans are equal (adding their hardships in past) they are actually not taking your jobs. You just want to take jobs from their quota too. I have answer to point in this paragraph...written in next topic.

3 Questions to reserved category?

1.  If reserved category thinks that they should get percent of job as their population is then USA should ban Indian citizens as they are reducing jobs for native population, Will that decision be right or wrong?

2. If your economic condition is ok, Why do you think that you deserve reservation more then a poor family in higher class.

3. In any competitive exam the avg. marks (even the highest marks) of reserved category  are low. Now should one guy in reserved category with 100 marks and other in general with 400 marks be treated equal even if the economic condition of both the families are same.

I asked only 3 questions as they were becoming repeatative. 

Many people in reserved category says Its their right to have reservation, I am just saying It never was and it never will.

Remove the caste system..............caste based reservation will automatically removed.

 

Update 1: While  writing this article, I came across a thought that reservation in any form is bad, that thought was bad and the reason is written under the heading " WHY RESERVATION (IF USED RIGHT WAY) IS NEEDED AT ANY TIME?"

Update2: A possible explanation to "Why caste based reservation instead of economic based(50 years ago)?"

Answer:  First reason: leaders were new to leading.

Second reason: As there was no BPL quota, it was hard to apply economy based reservation.

Third reason : The cast discrimination was  huge at that time and even if one guy from BPL+lower caste would have got a job due to reservation, he could not survive due to discrimination. 

Fourth Reason: If govt. want to make a law for all, all type(caste) of people should be present in govt.

I have came across many people who want to think good for other people and they believe that what they think is good for whom they are thinking but they never try to think from others point of view. If we don't know what is good for others we shouldn't decide for them
